HRS 23-708 joined our farm in August of 2023 from Hunt Road Katahdins. He has just finished his second year of breeding on our farm and we are very pleased with the results so far. He is long and thick just like his sire SRG 0215 "Tarzan Jr" and grandsire HLB 408 "Tarzan". His pedigree can be found below in his pictures as well as a picture of his grandsire "Tarzan"

"Say When"
FFG 1347 is the new guy around town. He was purchased this year from Grandpa's Farm online auction and made his way to Virginia, from Iowa in June of 2024. His paternal side is strong Smohalla Acres and Salmon Run show blood and his maternal side is Grandpa's farm pasture power. The first picture in the deck below is from the day he came off pasture after servicing 16 ewes. He has maintained himself extremely well and that speaks to the pasture power Grandpa's Farm talks about in their description. His lambs are due to hit the ground around the first of January so be on the lookout for some thick boned, colorful lambs!

Our seed stock comes from multiple different farms, all with very reputable names within the industry.
Our initial commercial flock came from Hillcrest Katahdin and Dr. David Redwine. Dr. Redwine has been in the industry for many years and has some of the finest commercial and registered sheep you will lay eyes on. We still have the majority of the original ewes we started with and all have proven to be prolific producers with excellent maternal instincts.
After a few years of only running commercial sheep we have started the process of transitioning the majority of our flock to registered katahdin. Our current registered flock is a mix of sheep from: Hunt Road Katahdin, Stable Rock Katahdin, Grandpa's Farm Katahdin, and Gingerich Family Farm. By incorporating this quality seed stock into our flock, we feel we have created a solid foundation on which we will develop premiere, parasite resistant, rapid growing lambs, that will flourish in any condition.
